Wearingeul Natsume Soseki Series Inks
South Korean ink manufacturer Wearingeul stands out as a company that approaches artworks with a fresh and modern perspective, interpreting, expressing, and redesigning them. Especially, art forms that are visually ambiguous and abstract, such as literature and music, serve as the primary sources of inspiration for Wearingeul inks.
Wearingeul does not simply imitate the original art work but infuses modern design and own account into the originality. Through synesthetic approaches, Wearingeul designs the invisible art works into the design arts which people can see, sense, and even smell. Wearingeul always challenges to the nebulosity and obscurity of art works.
The Mind is inspired by the literature of Natsume Soseki. Natsume Soseki, also known by his birth name Natsume Kin'nosuke, was a Japanese novelist. Some of his most globally recognized works include "Kokoro," "Botchan," "I Am A Cat," "Kusamakura," and his unfinished work "Light And Darkness." He was also a scholar of British literature and a writer of fairy tales. His portrait appeared on the front of the Japanese 1,000 yen banknote from 1984 to 2004.
